Asphalt replacement planned at Churn Creek, traffic delays expected

The City of Redding Public Works Engineering Department announced that asphalt patching affecting the intersection of Churn Creek Road and Browning Street to Gabriel Street will take place on Friday, Nov. 15.

The works will be carried out between 09.00 and 16.00 in the morning and traffic control measures will be taken during these hours. Those measures include ongoing lane and shoulder closures, as well as flashing red traffic signals at the intersection, the city said.

The contractor will replace temporary asphalt patches with permanent asphalt, according to the Redding Engineering Department.

The council advises all motorists to drive carefully when approaching these areas or avoid them if possible. Emergency vehicles will have access unless stated otherwise.
