Another Listeria recall issued for meat and poultry products

Another recall was made due to concerns that ready-to-eat meat products may be contaminated with Listeria.

Yu Shang Foods of Spartanburg, SC recalled 4,589 pounds of meat and poultry products Out of what he described as “an abundance of caution” out of concern that they might be contaminated with Listeria.

The products were manufactured between October 21-27 with a “best before” date ranging from August 21-27, 2025 and establishment number P-46684 or EST. M46684 inside USDA inspection mark. The products were shipped to retail locations nationwide and were available for purchase online.

Products include:

  • Japanese Chasu Pork Belly – 16 oz. vacuum pack
  • Braised Pork Belly with Brown Sauce – 16 oz.
  • Yushang Brand Cooked Pork Hock – 1.4 lbs.
  • Chinese Brand Spicy Chicken Feet – 8 oz.
  • Bazhen Spicy Whole Chicken – 20 oz.
  • Braised Beef Stalk – 16 oz.
  • Season Pork Tongues – 12 oz.

Problems were detected in the products during routine inspections carried out by the Food Safety and Inspection Service. Listeria infections can cause fever, muscle aches, headaches, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions; It can sometimes be followed by diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms. It can be especially dangerous for pregnant women, the elderly, and those with other health problems.

FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ refrigerators and freezers. If so, consumers are advised to discard them or return them to the place of purchase.
