LOS ANGELES– A Los Angeles actress who starred in shows like “Blue Bloods” and “Gossip Girl” has gone missing, and her family has flown in from out of state to help in a desperate search.

Family members say 36-year-old Chanel Maya Banks, who lives in the Playa Vista area, has not been heard from since October 30.

Authorities conducted a medical check on his home and were unable to locate him. His family said that when they recently entered the apartment where he and his wife had lived for a year, they found his belongings and his dog still there.

Danielle-Tori Singh, who flew from Toronto to help with the search, says she is very close with her cousin. After several days without hearing from or reaching him, he and other family members began to worry.

“Five days when I didn’t hear from my cousin are red flags and alarm bells,” Singh told ABC’s Los Angeles affiliate KABC. “She doesn’t go more than 48 hours without talking to me or her mother. … This girl is more like a big sister to me.”

She says Banks’ husband was uncooperative with the family or authorities.

“He’s not willing to help the LAPD. He doesn’t want to help me or his mother find him. He’s removing signs from poles and cars.”

The family started a campaign GoFundMe page to assist in their search, including hiring a private investigator because they felt the LAPD wasn’t taking the case seriously enough.

Banks’ IMDB page lists roles on series such as “Blue Bloods,” “Twelve” and “Gossip Girl.” She occasionally acted under the name Chanel Farrell.

Singh said his cousin has stepped away from acting in recent years and focused on writing.

“I can tell you that something is wrong in my soul, inside me. … We go two weeks without a word, without a sound. Nothing.”
