CINCINNATI (WXIX) -One person is dead following a multiple vehicle crash in Colerain County early Saturday morning, according to Colerain County police.

Officers said they were called to Interstate 275 near the I-74 exit around 12:20 a.m. and discovered three vehicles were involved in the crash.

Three people were likely taken to nearby hospitals, police said.

One person was taken to UC Medical Center but died from his injuries, officers said.

Police cannot confirm whether next of kin have been notified.

It is not yet known whether drugs, alcohol or excessive speed were factors in the accident.

The investigation into the accident continues.
