ALEXANDRIA, La. (HEART) – Both the LSUA Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams opened RRAC conference play with blowout victories on November 12 at the Fort.

The Lady Generals defeated Jarvis Christian 71-59 and outscored the Bulldogs by eight points in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Backcourt duo Reese Stephens and Dannah Martin-Hartwick each scored 14 points and made a total of four 3-pointers. LSUA improved to 4-1 with the win, including its third straight at home.

In men’s play, the Generals defeated the Bulldogs 77-64 in the second half to win their fourth straight season opener.

Jordan Decuir was the Generals’ top scorer with 15 points, while Brayden Thompson had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Both teams will travel to face Texas A&M-Texarkana next Saturday, November 16th.
