Morrison, Colo. — On Tuesday, Morrison town officials released few details about the investigation. Police Chief Bill VinelliHe was placed on administrative leave last week.

The investigation was confirmed by Town Manager Mallory Nassau, who issued a two-sentence news release.

“The town will refrain from making any additional comments regarding this matter while the investigation is ongoing,” Morrison officials said in the press release.

Vinelli was placed on leave Nov. 4 and Morrison Police Department Cmdr. Nassau said Jon Manna is acting chief.

Morrison’s previous police chief, Misty Siderfin, resigned after three months on the job due to lack of resources and officer vacancies. Canyon Courier reported. Vinelli was hired in January 2022, Nassau said.
