LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Indiana Conservation officers are investigating after a 76-year-old man died in a hunting accident in Clark County.

On Sunday, Nov. 10, emergency crews were called to the 27000 block of Jackson Road near Borden after a hunter who had fallen from a tree was found by a family member.

Leslie Burnett of Borden died after falling from a high ladder while deer hunting, authorities said. He was not wearing a full-body seat belt.

Conservation officers are continuing the investigation. They want to remind hunters to always wear a full-body harness when using an elevated platform.
