Man Reveals Himself After Maryland Pizzeria Was Reportedly Closed

Gaithersburg, MD — Steven Randolph, 31, was arrested and charged with indecent exposure following a series of incidents reported by the Montgomery County Police Department, District 4 Patrol. Investigators released Randolph’s photo and asked for potential victims to come forward as well.

Around 10:14 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2024, Randolph reportedly walked into Ledo’s Pizza on Laytonsville Road in Olney as employees were preparing to open the day. When informed that the restaurant was not open, an employee returned and saw Randolph exposing himself. After the employee screamed, Randolph fled the scene.

During the investigation, officers identified Randolph as a suspect after a patrol officer recalled seeing a man matching his description at another location nearby earlier in the day. Security camera footage was obtained, which led to the positive identification of Randolph.

On November 6, 2024, police were called to a Safeway store on Spartan Road in response to another indecent exposure incident involving Randolph. Officers found him at a nearby bus stop and he was taken into custody without incident. Randolph was later transported to a hospital for treatment of an unrelated injury that occurred before his arrest.

Given these incidents, investigators believe victims of indecent exposure, including Randolph, may not have yet contacted authorities. Montgomery County police encourage anyone who believes they may have been affected to call Montgomery County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous.

Police are actively investigating the matter and emphasize the importance of community members coming forward to assist in efforts to ensure public safety.
