Parts of the Savannah Rapids Pavilion reopened after Helene

MARTINEZ, GA. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Savannah Rapids Pavilion and Blanchard Woods Park trailhead has reopened after Helene closed them due to damage.

Flooding on roads in Orangeburg County

This includes the playground, visitor center, ski rentals and some pavilions.

However, the main event center and dance pavilion will remain closed.

The Columbia County Visitor Center will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Due to damage from Hurricane Helene, the polling location at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion will be relocated.

A month ago, we learned that hundreds of events, including dozens of weddings, were on pause following the storm that ripped through the popular Columbia County venue.

Also in Columbia County, the cross-country trail at Blanchard Woods Park has reopened to the public.
