With 10 days until Election Day, two new national polls show: Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Trump are in a tight race to replace President Biden in the White House.

As the clock ticks down, the two candidates and their running mates are expanding into key battleground states this weekend.

Trump starts on Saturday with a rally in Novi, Michigan, a Detroit suburb. Later in the day, he will campaign in Pennsylvania, a key swing state, holding a rally in State College, home of Penn State University.

Senator J.D. Vance The Republican vice presidential candidate is from Ohio and starts his day in Atlanta before holding campaign events in Erie and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Trump’s surrogates include Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who ended his long-term run for the White House and supported Trump. and former Democratic presidential candidate and former Representative Tulsi Gabbard, who switched from independent candidacy to Republican candidate a few days ago, will meet. Trump is in the swing state of North Carolina. And Tesla and Space X boss Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, is trailing Trump in Pennsylvania.

Harris to team up with former First Lady on Saturday Michelle Obama, Arguably the most popular Democrat in the country, at a get-out-the-vote rally in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The stance came two days after the vice president shared the stage with former President Obama in suburban Atlanta.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, made two stops in the battleground state of Arizona on Saturday, first in Window Rock and later in Phoenix.

First Lady Jill Biden campaigned for Harris in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, while two-time runner-up progressive champion Sen. Bernie Sanders is a sign of how important a role Pennsylvania plays with its 19 electoral votes. We edged out Harris in Erie for the Democratic nomination.

On Sunday, Harris is scheduled to make multiple retail locations in Philadelphia. Trump will hold a rally at Madison Square Garden in New York, the media capital of the world.

Trump’s campaign says the former president, who has long wanted to hold a rally at the legendary New York City venue, will frame his closing speech during the rally. Additionally, the campaign will hold a behind-the-scenes fundraiser with high-level access for major donors totaling $924,600.

Poll location

It doesn’t get any closer than this.

Two major national polls conducted Sunday through Wednesday and released Friday show Harris and Trump neck and neck.

The first to grab headlines was a New York Times/Siena College poll showing the Democratic and GOP presidential candidates tied at 48%.

This is a change from the previous poll earlier this month, when Harris had a three-point lead.

A CNN poll found the candidates deadlocked by 47% among likely voters nationwide. The previous poll, conducted in late September, showed the vice president with a razor-thin lead of one point.

But there were warning signs for both candidates in two polls.

Harris lost her advantage over Trump in both polls.

The vice president’s positive ratings soared after he replaced President Biden on the Democrats’ 2024 ticket in July. But they have been eroding steadily over the past month.

Another red flag for Harris is polls showing her support among Black voters is below Biden’s level in the 2020 election.

According to Trump, his support among White voters is at the same level as it was in the 2020 election, when he lost the White House to Biden.

And the former president still faces a healthy lack of trustworthiness and caring about people against the vice president.

While national polls are closely watched, the White House race is not based on the national popular vote. This is a war for the states and their electoral votes.

The latest polls in the seven key battleground states that determined Biden’s victory over Trump in 2020 and will likely determine whether Harris or Trump wins the 2024 election are mostly within the margin of error.

Fox News’ latest national poll showed Trump with a two-point lead, but Harris had a 6-point advantage among those polled in all seven battleground states.

Although there is a margin of error in the polls, there is a clear leader in the fight for campaign money, another important indicator of presidential policies. And this is Harris.

Harris raised $97 million in the first half of October, according to the latest figures from the two major parties’ presidential campaigns filed with the Federal Election Commission.

That far outpaces the $16 million the Trump campaign said it raised in the first half of this month.

Both campaigns use a range of affiliate links fundraising committees to raise money. When these are included, Trump narrowed the gap, but it fell from $176 million to $97 million in the first two weeks of this month.

The new filings also reveal that Harris’ campaign has vastly outpaced Trump’s campaign.

In the first 16 days of October, the Democratic presidential candidate’s campaign spent between $166 million and $99 million behind Trump; paid media was the biggest spender for both campaigns.

But Harris finished the reporting period with more cash in her coffers. As of October 16, he had $119 million on hand, while Trump had $36 million. When joint fundraising committees are included, Harris has a cash advantage of $240 million to $168 million.
