Supporters of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan marched on the streets of Pakistan demanding his release from prison. Thousands of PTI workers held a massive rally in Pakistan’s Swabi district as part of the campaign. During the demonstration, Khan supporters chanted “Who will save Pakistan, Imran Khan, Imran Khan”. Meanwhile, an unidentified person was seen raising the US flag during the mass rally. However, the flag was later taken down by those who attended the rally. Notably, more than 60 Democratic lawmakers wrote to US President Joe Biden last month, urging him to secure Khan’s release. Candidates supported by Khan’s party won most of the seats in the February elections, but failed to win a majority against then-Army Chief of Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa.
