Emergency services arrived at the scene last night.

The road was closed to traffic last night because a car crashed into a wall as a result of a “serious accident”. An eyewitness told the ECHO the incident took place outside Lister Fishing and Pet Center on Lister Drive, Tuebrook.

A cordon was established after Merseyside Police and the North West Ambulance service arrived at the scene at around 11pm. The cordon had already been removed when the ECHO visited the road at 8am this morning.

A small piece of police tape was still attached to the fence outside the pet store, and there was what looked like sawdust on the sidewalk. Merseyside Police have confirmed a serious crash has occurred.

No information was given about the health condition of anyone involved in the accident. North West Ambulance Service has been contacted for further information.
