One taken to Nashville hospital after Springfield rollover crash

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WSMV) – One person was taken to the hospital following a rollover crash in Springfield. Smoky Barn News (SBN).

The crash happened just before 9 a.m. Saturday morning on South Main Street near Watson Road, SBN reported.

SBN said the vehicle left the road, rolled several times and then crashed into a tree. Debris from the accident spread over 30 meters.

Witnesses told authorities the vehicle swerved, barely missing an oncoming vehicle and sideswiping another vehicle before swerving.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville by Robertson County EMS. The driver had non-life-threatening injuries but was transported to be checked for possible internal injuries, SBN reported.

SBN reports that the cause of the crash is still under investigation by Springfield Police.

Robertson County EMS, Springfield Police and Springfield Fire Department responded to the crash.
