After sweeping the California teams for the first time in the series, the Vancouver Canucks return home and begin a 6-game series against the Edmonton Oilers.

Edmonton sits fifth in the Pacific division standings when we look at Vancouver, but it’s the hometown team that has a slight disadvantage of -105 in the NHL odds.

When it became clear that the Oilers were in post-Stanley Cup hangover mode, Oilers vs. My Canucks predictions will see the home team eventually carry that road momentum back to Rogers Arena.

These teams are meeting for the first time since then. Edmonton Lubricants sent Vancouver Canucks Last year we were in the second round of the play-offs.

He made a pointless move in his return as the Oilers lost their second straight game against Vegas, 4-2.

Edmonton, which led most of the contest, was unable to land the fly and surrendered the game winner with less than a minute left in regulation.

Offensively, the Oilers have 31 points.^st While he did score goals, he only scored 2.36 goals per game. They will face a Vancouver team ranked eighth in the GAA with 2.92 points per contest.

This is a team that finished seventh in the regular season last year, scoring a playoff-high 86 goals in 25 games; 13 goals behind the closest team.

This explosive offense doesn’t include a defense that ranks just outside the Bottom 10, allowing 3.21 goals per game. Edmonton has yet to win a game this year by scoring two goals or fewer, going 0-7-1.

Stuart Skinner It was a rough start to the year for Edmonton, going 3-5-1 with a 3.28 GAA and .885 save percentage. He ranks 1-4 all-time against the Canucks with a 4.04 GAA and .855 save percentage.

Vancouver swept last year’s four-game regular season series, three of them as the underdogs.

As the Oilers try to turn the clock on this season, they are in the best position to avenge the playoff loss.
