Moderate Democrat’s top aide resigns after MP’s comments about ‘formerly male’ athletes

A top aide to Rep. Seth Moulton, a moderate Democrat from Massachusetts, reportedly resigned after the incident. legislator Recent comments about transgender athletes and the left’s tolerance for dissenting views.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Chilliak for confirmation.

The Democratic agent posted on X shortly after Trump won “Millions of Americans today showed that they hate immigrants and transgender people more than they fear fascism,” he said in the election held early Wednesday morning.

“Democrats spend too much time trying not to offend anyone, instead of being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face,” Moulton told the Times.

“I have two little girls, I don’t want them to get run over on the playing field by a boy or former male athlete, but as a Democrat I shouldn’t be afraid to say that,” he said.

The congresswoman responded to the backlash in a statement to Fox News Digital: “I remain firm believers in the need for competitive women’s sports to limit participation by those with unfair physical advantages that come with being born male.”

“I am also a strong supporter of the civil rights of all Americans, including transgender rights. As I always have, I will fight for the rights and safety of all citizens. These two ideas are not mutually exclusive, and we may even disagree on them,” Moulton said.

“But there are many in the far-left corners of social media who believe that I fail the unspoken purity test of the Democratic Party. 2024 election due to any transgender person or issue. We lost in part because we are shaming and belittling the ideas that too many voters have, and it needs to stop. “Let’s have these discussions now, chart a new strategy for our party as our current strategy has failed, and then unite to oppose the Trump agenda wherever it jeopardizes American values.”

LGBTQ rights group Mass Equality said Moulton’s comments in the Times “further heighten our community’s sense of vulnerability.”
