A 27-year-old news anchor mysteriously disappeared A new tip that swept through the small Iowa town where he worked nearly 30 years ago led detectives to search a Minnesota property for his remains.

Detectives from the Mason City Police Department in Iowa searched a site. Winsted, Minnesota, in October for Jodi Huisentruit, who disappeared on the morning of June 27, 1995.

Mason City Police Chief Jeff Brinkley confirmed the purpose of the search in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“It is sometimes difficult to go home at night without responding to Jodi Huisentruit’s family, especially the friends who were with her the day before she disappeared and are still actively searching for her.”
