Two women seriously injured after vehicle crashes into tree in Butler County

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) – Two women were seriously injured when their vehicle crashed into a tree in Butler County, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, the crash occurred on Friday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. The vehicle was traveling southbound on County Road 523, four miles north of Poplar Bluff.

The accident occurred when a 2014 model Chevrolet Cruze went off the right side of the road and hit a tree.

The driver, a 19-year-old Poplar Bluff woman, was flown by Survival Flight to St. Louis in Jonesboro, Arkansas, for treatment of serious injuries. Transported to Bernards.

The 20-year-old female passenger from Doniphan was taken to St. Louis by Air EVAC for treatment of serious injuries. He was transferred to St. Louis University.

Both passengers were reportedly wearing safety devices at the time of the crash, according to the Highway Patrol.
