Caitlyn’s strike team is a big improvement Mysterious Season 2, episode 1.

Official The crown is heavyThe second season begins where the 9th episode of the first season ended. We saw Jinx’s Hextech rocket hit the Piltover tower where the council was meeting.

It discusses what happened in the second and final season, how it affected Piltover society, and how it affected Piltover-Zaun relations.

Warning: If you haven’t watched Arcane season 2 episode 1, it contains major spoilers.

Arcane season 2 episode 1 recap: What led Caitlyn to form a strike team against Zaun?

In the first few minutes of the episode, we learn who survived Jinx’s attack. Three of the council members died, the other half survived.

Caitlyn’s mother, Cassandra Kiramman, died in the attack, which had a profound impact on her daughter. After the opening song, funeral scenes flash across our screens.

He then begins to mourn. He talks to his father and reflects on how he didn’t accept the offer even though he had an open position on Jinx. He gives her a key that her mother intended for her to have, pointing to her future inheritance.

Caitlyn also talks to Jayce in the garden, expressing her deepest thoughts about her mother, her hatred of Jinx, and her changing relationship with Vi. Meanwhile, he finds solace in Vi.

Arcane being Arcane, a single catastrophic event is not enough of a catalyst. During the memorial ceremony, the Chemistry Barons enter in disguise and launch a surprise attack. Our heroes fight hard and eventually defeat their enemies.

Caitlyn catches up with Vi after the attack and expresses her sadness once again. “He’s dying and leaving this huge hole, and I have to fill it,” he cries. Vi, who has dealt with her own share of loss in her life, responds, “The hole gets smaller, but… you can never fill it.”

Confronted with the truth, Caitlyn wields the key to a device that will unlock the keys to her past, present, and future: What does it mean to be in Kiramman’s House? How does she continue her mother’s good work?

Heavy is the Crown was originally written by Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda with Caitlyn in mind, and it’s obvious how the lyrics speak to all the hardships Caitlyn has been through.

In the final scene of the first episode, he storms into a special underground council meeting of the three remaining members and Ambesa We are waiting. He establishes his authority as a Kiramman and tells them that he will lead a strike team into Zaun with three objectives:

  1. Find Jinx
  2. Remove the sparkle
  3. Neutralize all agents still loyal Silco

Salo challenges him and asks what makes him think he would be better off than their forces today. “We have a few surprises, too,” he replies.

The camera then shows the upgraded Hextech rifle and the rest of the armor Jayce has prepared for his team of Piltover Police Department officers.

Then the biggest surprise: Vi steps out into the light in her officer uniform, wearing Hextech gloves.
