PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV/Gray News) – A missing nurse was found dead while vacationing in Hungary, according to authorities.

Budapest Police said 31-year-old Mackenzie “Kenzie” Michalski was last seen at a nightclub in Budapest on November 5 and then disappeared.

Police said investigators “noticed several suspicious circumstances” surrounding her disappearance and later identified a 37-year-old Irish man she was seen with at various clubs.

During interrogation, the man showed investigators where he hid Michalski’s body, Budapest police said.

He is currently under police custody.

Michalski, Providence St. He was working as a neurosurgery practitioner in St. Vincent.

Providence released a statement saying they were “deeply saddened” by the news of his death.

The US State Department released a statement saying it was working with the US Embassy in Budapest and the police there.
