Carlo Ancelotti Wants to Do One Last Thing at Real Madrid Before Retiring

Carlo Ancelotti has nearly 30 years of coaching experience, hence the recent difficulties real Madrid It’s not something he hasn’t encountered before.

Carlo Ancelotti told L’Equipe: “It will be a great day when I retire.” But he’s not ready to give up the head coaching competition just yet. The fire burns even more now that he has the new Champions League format to add to his CV.

“I want to win the next Champions League before I stop. I am a coach who always wants to reach the top.”

If Ancelotti wants to achieve that goal this season, his team has some things in store. work to be done. Two wins from four games puts them in a tough spot and Liverpool are next in line. However, they still have wins in the last three matches. They may need to win all four to get into the top eight, which could cause them to miss out on a first-round bye.

Talking about his retirement, Ancelotti wants to travel and cites Argentina, Maldives and Australia as his dream destinations. He stated that his family has been incredibly supportive from the beginning and that his wife wants him to continue.

“Can I dream of retirement? I can imagine… I started playing football forty-eight years ago. So I’m starting to think about the day this will be over. What could make me say stop? If Madrid kicked me out, I would say that (laughs). I don’t know what will stop me. My family? No. My wife wants me to continue!”

Despite all the success he has achieved in his nearly 30-year coaching career, Ancelotti does not consider himself the best and names other coaches such as Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola as the coaches who have won more. One thing is for sure: he is a legend at Real Madrid and can add to his legacy at Los Blancos.
