Gold Futures Fall, But Short-Term Correction Looks Healthy

Gold futures are in decline and are preparing to close the week with decline. Futures fell 0.35% to $2,696.20 per ounce.

Ole Hansen of Saxo Bank says precious metals such as gold are experiencing a strong rise ahead of the US elections. However, gold fell sharply after a simultaneous rise in the US dollar and bond yields caused prices to fall.

However, Hansen says there is no reason to change his bullish stance on precious metals. At worst, last week’s correction was a healthy response to weeks of election-driven buying.
