Steve Davies, an ex-army man who runs the CIC, has been traveling around the UK for nearly six years restoring military graves and monuments.

“I’m not here to make money, I’m here to cover my expenses. “I cleaned more than 1000 graves, nearly 30 monuments and nearly 10 statues,” he said.

“I love the process, I love the before and after. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and want to make sure it looks just right.

Mr Davies said he cleaned all the “bad bits” from the monument on site and jet washed it using an environmentally friendly cleaning product.
