INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – All lanes of northbound I-65 have reopened in downtown Indianapolis after a fatal crash closed the interstate for nearly seven hours.

A truck and a car collided around 12 a.m. on northbound I-65 between West and 21st streets. Indiana State Police confirmed at least one person died.

Police closed the interstate from North Split to the 21st Street exit and drivers were forced off the road.

It is not yet known what caused the accident and how many people were injured.
