The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory on Aadhaar authentication for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 registration. NTA has received reports that candidates are facing technical issues in the registration process due to discrepancies between the names on their Aadhaar cards and their class 10 education certificates. In response, NTA has made minor changes to its online application system and outlined steps to help candidates resolve these issues. The registration period for JEE Main 2025 started on 28 October 2024 and will end on 22 November 2024 at 21:00.

JEE Mains 2025 Registration: How to Resolve Aadhaar Authentication Issues?

To resolve Aadhaar authentication issues, NTA has updated the JEE Mains 2025 online application process. Candidates who encounter a pop-up message regarding name mismatch during Aadhaar verification are advised to close the pop-up.

The message reads: “Name mismatch during Aadhaar Authentication. Please visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra to update your Name in your Aadhaar Card. To proceed with Aadhaar Authentication, please enter your name as given in Aadhaar.”

Once the popup is closed, a new window will ask candidates to proceed with Aadhaar authentication. In this window, they need to enter their name exactly as it appears on their Aadhaar card. The names on both the education certificate and Aadhaar card will be recorded, enabling candidates to proceed with the JEE Mains 2025 application process.

• Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in.
• Click on ‘JEE Online Application Form (Main) – 2025 Session-1’ on the home page.
• Now click on ‘JEE (Main) – 2025 Session-1 Online Registration Form Link’.
• Click ‘New Registration’.
• Enter the required details in the application form.
• Upload the documents and pay the application fee.
• Submit the form and download the confirmation page.
