Cleveland Guardians Linked to Major Move for Free Agent Outfielder

Cleveland Guards This will be an interesting team to watch in the coming days and weeks. Some believe that after being so close to qualifying for the World Series, the front office may be more aggressive than it has been in recent years.

All fans know that the Guardians are not big spenders in free agency. But since they have a very good chance of winning the title if they make the right moves, could they consider being more aggressive?

Going after a big bat should be a big priority for Cleveland if they choose to be more aggressive.

James Mastrucci from Away Back Gone He made an important suggestion to the guards. He thinks they should follow Los Angeles Dodgers star outfielder Teoscar Hernandez.

“Hernandez may be near or outside of Cleveland’s comfort zone financially, and the fact that he’s turning 32 could be a bit concerning. However, consistent production like that doesn’t come cheap, and that’s exactly what the Guardians are looking for when targeting players in free agency.” He should look out for a team that can use its offensive output.”

Let’s take a closer look at Hernandez and whether he could be a good fit in Cleveland.

Throughout the 2024 MLB season, Hernandez put up big numbers for the Dodgers. He played in 154 games and hit .272/.339/.501. In addition to his slash, Hernandez hit 33 home runs to go along with 99 RBIs.

These numbers are exactly the type of offensive production that could take the Guard to the next level.

He’s 32 years old and is the type of win-now move Cleveland needs to make if they want to make a splash. But would they be willing to pay to get it?

This is where things get a little suspicious. The Guardians aren’t spending big money, and it’s not like Hernandez will come cheap either.

It will all depend on where Cleveland’s front office stands. Are they willing to spend more now that they’re closer to winning a championship? If so, Hernandez is certainly a candidate who would make sense and would be willing to spend.

Hernandez probably won’t end up with the Guardians. They are unlikely to pay to bring in a player of this quality. However, if they change their approach in a shocking way, he will be one of the right target type of players.

Expect to continue hearing rumors about Cleveland as the days and weeks progress. Hernandez is at least a name to watch out for.
