Salem woman killed in crash on Highway 38 in Douglas County

On Monday morning, November 4, Oregon State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 38 near milepost 48 in Douglas County.

Police say an eastbound Honda CRV driven by 64-year-old Anne Adair Johnson of Salem left the roadway for unknown reasons, went down an embankment, rolled and struck trees.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The highway was affected for approximately three hours.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.

OSP was assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the North Douglas Fire Department.
