Memorial Day is upon us on Monday, November 11, and numerous ceremonies are taking place across the state to remember those who gave their lives to serve our country.

Below is a list of Remembrance Day services taking place in Manitoba:

ANAVETS

ANAVETS Unit 283 Assiniboia, 3584 Portage Ave. It hosts a Memorial Day service and after-service events at.

Doors open at 9.30 in the morning, service starts at 10.40

After-service activities will take place between 12:45 – 18:00.

Keystone Center

Brandon Legion Branch 3 is holding a Memorial Day ceremony at Keystone Center. Doors open at 9 am

Manitoba Legions

Bruce Park and St. A number of Legions are holding Remembrance Day events, including the James Legion #4, the Legion Branch at 215 Henderson Highway, Selkirk Legion Branch 42, Transcona Legion Branch 7 and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 248.

Minto Armory

Minto Armory’s Memorial Day event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with doors opening at 9 a.m. The museum will be open from noon to 3 p.m.

The event is at 969 St. in Winnipeg. It takes place on Matthews Boulevard.

Oak Park High School

Everyone is invited to the Memorial Day ceremony at Oak Park High School. The event, hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 100 Winnipeg – Charleswood, will begin at 10 a.m. and last two hours.

Those who want to participate are advised to arrive early. A reception will follow the parade at the Charleswood Legion.

RBC Convention Center

Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for the annual RBC Convention Center Memorial Day ceremony. The event is expected to begin at 10:40 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m.

Royal Winnipeg Rifles

The Royal Winnipeg Rifles Remembrance Day Service will take place at Vimy Ridge Memorial Park.

The program will be held between 10.30-11.40.

St. Norbert Cemetery

St. A memorial service is held at the cenotaph in St. Norbert Cemetery. The service will start at 10:45 and will also be broadcast on the YouTube channel. (hyperlink) YouTube.com/@StNorbertRemembranceDay1918

Step Place

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 65 is holding a Remembrance Day event at Stride Place in Portage la Prairie. The sittings will start at 10.30 and the event will start at 11.00.
