CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – UPDATE: One lane has reopened on I-24 West following a multi-vehicle crash involving two tractor trailers, according to the Clarksville Police Department.

Even though traffic starts to move, it’s still backed up.

A portion of Interstate 24 West is “completely closed” following a multi-vehicle crash involving two tractor-trailers, according to the Clarksville Police Department.

Police said they were at the scene of a crash involving two vehicles and two tractor-trailers at Mile Marker 1 on I-24 westbound. The accident occurred around 20.05.

CPD said the Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

“Motorists are advised to find an alternative route until the road is clear,” CPD said.
