BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – UPDATE: The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirms two people died in a Tuesday afternoon crash in Northwest Bexar County.

The identities of the killed people could not be determined.

It is not yet known how many people were involved in the accident.

ORIGINAL STORY: A fatal crash has caused road closures in Northwest Bexar County, according to authorities. Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred just before 4 p.m. on westbound Interstate 10 near Boerne, near the Fair Oaks Parkway access road.

BCSO says one person died at the scene and the other passengers involved were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

It is unknown how many people were involved in the accident.

Traffic on the access road will be diverted until further notice.

BCSO said travel on the main westbound lanes of I-10 should not be affected.
