Nikola Jokic is one of the smartest basketball players to play the game. While most people may not fully understand what it is like to be on the field, those who are with him on the field know it better than anyone.

Jokic put his prowess on full display when the Denver Nuggets faced the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night. The three-time MVP absolutely stunned Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert as he knew all of the Timberwolves’ plays before they even made them.

“We got a spy in the club, man,” Gobert said. “Jokic knew the play, but we didn’t say anything.”

Christian Braun had a not-so-surprising reaction when asked about the viral moment. According to Braun, this is something Jokic does all the time.

“He does this a lot,” Braun helps. “He does it every game, honestly. “He does it every game, but there was even a possession – you can go and find him – he caught me and got me to where I needed to be… He knew what they were going to do. So it literally caught me. “And he put me in a different position… He does that pretty often, so it’s not really shocking to me, but it’s kind of funny to see other teams’ reactions to it.”

People forget how good a basketball player Nikola Jokic really is. For those who forget, you can’t be a three-time NBA MVP and a one-time NBA Finals MVP without being a genius.
