Lorain County Visitors Bureau is the main stage sponsor of Black River Landing

The Lorain County Visitors Bureau has announced its role as the main stage sponsor of Black River Landing’s new permanent stage, following a decision made at a Visitors Bureau meeting on Oct. 24, according to a news release.

The statement stated that the sponsorship represents a significant investment in the region’s entertainment infrastructure and tourism potential.

Currently attracting more than 150,000 visitors annually from Lorain County and beyond, Black River Landing at 421 Black River Lane in downtown Lorain is poised for continued growth, according to the release.

Garry Gibbs, director of the Visitors Bureau, is excited about the ongoing partnership and the positive impact the project will have on the environment, the statement said.

“This partnership underscores the Bureau’s commitment and reflects our commitment to supporting the arts and solidifying Lorain County as a destination for exceptional entertainment,” Gibbs said in the release. “This initiative not only showcases the region’s artistic talents, but also aims to attract visitors from across the state and beyond.”

Tiffany McClelland, interim general manager of the Port of Lorain and Finance Authority, underscored the importance of collaboration.

“The Lorain County Visitors Bureau’s investment in Black River Landing demonstrates our shared vision of creating a world-class entertainment destination,” McClelland said in the press release. “This sponsorship will expand our ability to deliver exceptional experiences and attract diverse audiences to Lorain County.

“Partnerships like this are vital to our success and growth as we continue to improve our facilities.”

According to the release, the Port of Lorain and Finance Authority is actively seeking additional partners to support the development of the venue.
