SWEDEN, NY — Deputies are investigating after a driver took off running after a crash in Sweden on Monday afternoon.

Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies say a car crashed into a mailbox on Section Four Road around 2 p.m., and the driver appeared injured but ran away.

Deputies used dogs and a drone to find the driver but have not yet found him. The investigation into the accident is still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
