THIS AFTERNOON

Partly sunny skies will prevail through the afternoon, with intermittent showers possible through the afternoon, especially south of Indianapolis. The chance of rain decreases as we move into the evening, and highs will be near the mid-60s in the north and lower 70s in the south. Winds will blow southwest to west to northwest at 10 to 15 mph in the late afternoon, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Overall a pretty dry and cool day for most of Central Indiana.

As the cold air clears the region, showers completely decrease in the late evening. We expect the weather to gradually clear throughout the night and skies to be mostly clear. Temperatures will drop rapidly, with lows dropping into the mid-40s across much of Central Indiana. Winds will shift to the north, hovering around 5 to 10 mph, creating a cool, crisp night perfect for Friday evening activities.

TOMORROW

Saturday will bring a return to more seasonal weather with mostly sunny skies. Highs will remain slightly cooler than recent days, with lows around the 60s in the area. A light north breeze blowing at 5 to 10 miles per hour will keep things cool, making it a nice day to get outside and enjoy the fall weather, even if it’s with your jacket.

TOMORROW NIGHT

Clouds will begin to increase overnight into Sunday, but the night will remain dry and cool. Temperatures will climb into the upper 30s, especially in rural and low-lying areas. Winds will be calm, but there may still be some frost in some areas in the early morning hours on Sunday.

SUNDAY

Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny with highs again near the low 60s. The wind will be light and variable, calming in the afternoons, making it a nice day to watch the Indiana Pacers play against the Philadelphia 76ers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. You can expect perfect conditions for pre-game or post-game outdoor activities.

SUNDAY NIGHT

As we close out the weekend, skies will be mostly clear and temperatures will once again climb into the upper 30s. Winds will shift slightly from the southeast at around 5 mph, and the calm night will help keep outdoor plans uninterrupted.
