Sunny skies and mild temperatures start the week amid wildfire weather concerns

Good morning Central Coast and happy Monday!

Skies are clear and temperatures are mild as we start the week, but our weather is far from perfect. Fire weather and winds continue to be a concern.

Fog isn’t a problem during the morning commute as skies are clear, but winds are pushing south, causing gusty winds to start the day. Some winds along the south coast (especially along the Gaviota Coastline) will exceed 30 mph.

Winds with very low humidity, Fire Situation Monitoring Valid for all high altitudes until Wednesday morning. All communities have the necessary ingredients for rapid and variable fire conditions. Be extra careful if you’re doing anything that could create sparks.

There is also one High Surf Consultancy Valid for all west coasts until Wednesday morning. Something to be aware of.

Temperatures today will be in the normal inland and coastal valleys in the upper 60s and low 70s, with a few degrees cut off at the beaches.

There will be a slight drop in temperatures as the cold wave passes on Wednesday, but this is not a huge concern, just cloud cover is expected to increase a little more in the morning hours.

A great day and a great week awaits you!
