Ludhiana hospitals report 15 more burn cases, total to 42

Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) reported the highest number of cases, with seven patients treated for burn injuries.

Following Friday night’s celebrations, hospitals in the city reported 15 more burn cases, bringing the number in the last two days to 42.

Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) reported the highest number of cases, with seven patients treated for burn injuries.

According to the hospital’s public relations officer, four of the patients had eye injuries and three were admitted for inpatient treatment.

A day earlier, CMCH had reported five burn injuries, two serious cases, one eye injury and two minor burns.

Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), which reported the highest number of cases on Thursday, saw a sharp decline and admitted only one patient for treatment.

Burn cases were handled in the emergency departments of other private hospitals. Fortis Hospital reported four cases, all of which were treated in the outpatient department (OPD), and Deep Hospital in Model Town treated two OPD cases.

Following confusion regarding the date of Diwali festivities this year, people are celebrating the festival of lights on two days, October 31 and November 1.
