BOSTON (WBZ) – A Massachusetts woman is accused of administering thousands of illegal fake Botox and filler injections over the past three years.

Rebecca Fadanelli, 38, was arrested Friday morning and appeared in court in Worcester.

At Skin Beaute Med Spa, Fadanelli introduced herself to clients as a nurse.

But since March 2021, the esthetician was not licensed or certified when she administered thousands of illegally fake Botox, Sculptra and Juvederm injections that she imported from China and Brazil, the feds said.

Prosecutors say his clients paid him more than $900,000.

Charging documents said FDA criminal investigators were tipped off by a customer who had a bad reaction with swelling and tingling in her lips after Fadanelli injected herself with lip fillers in 2022.

The client was not given a copy of the prescription for the substance injected into him, even though he requested it.

Agents later learned that Homeland Security Investigations was investigating Fadanelli.

Customs and Border Patrol had seized international packages sent to it because they suspected the packages contained illegal prescription drugs.

Fadanelli was also captured at Logan Airport while returning from Brazil with illegal injectables, agents said.

The feds said they found fake cosmetics when they searched spas in Randolph, Massachusetts, and South Easton, Massachusetts.

Fadanelli later admitted to the Feds that he purchased the injectable drugs from a Chinese supplier through Alibaba but did not know whether they were FDA-approved.

Fadanelli did not enter a plea in court Friday.

He faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for illegally importing goods.

He also faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for knowingly selling or distributing a counterfeit drug or device.
