Today Chancellor Rachel Reeves put an end to all speculation about what her Budget has in store for farmers.

He announced a £40bn tax increase, changes to capital gains tax and changes to business tax.

Inheritance of farmland will become less generous from 2026, although the freeze on the inheritance tax threshold will remain in place for another two years.
