BENSON – On Oct. 25, the Town of Benson held its annual Hallofest tailgating or treating event downtown.

Several ballot boxes and tables from area businesses, residents and civic groups were set up in the middle of Main Street, while thousands of participants from Benson and the surrounding area moved up and down both sides of the street to buy candy.

Hallofest is one of Benson’s biggest events and this year was no different. Video game characters, classic movie villains, princesses, dinosaurs, police, firefighters, space rangers, aliens, vampires, werewolves, superheroes—Main Street was filled with eager baggage or treaters.

While Hallofest is the town’s main Halloween event, Benson will feature traditional Trick-or-Treating hours on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
