The Shawsheen Tech girls volleyball team continues to improve.

On Monday, the Rams captured their first State Professional Tournament title with a 3-0 victory over the Norfolk Aggie by scores of 25-8, 25-19 and 25-16. The win brought the team’s record to 22-0 ahead of the state tournament, which begins this week.

Leading the way in the victory were junior captain Franchesca Reardon with a season-high 20 points, junior setter Maura Krueger with 26 assists, and senior captain Meagan O’Leary with three aces and seven service points. Senior captain Fiona Rexford added 14 service points, including five aces, and Isabella DiSalvo had 19 service receptions.

gr. Lowell 0, Gr. Lawrence 0: The Gryphons held off the high-flying Reggies in a scoreless draw. Greater Lowell is currently 9-3-4 overall.

Goalkeeper Brian Borges made 12 saves to save the penalty and the players ahead of him Alejandro Cano Gil, Gio De Oliveira, Marcos De Oliveira, JP Monteiro and Jonathan Garcia played well.

Shawsheen 3, Dracut 0: Senior Jack Bourque scored on all three goals to lead the Rams to nonleague victory. He assisted Davide Vitale’s first goal before scoring the last two goals.

Niko Georgoulis made two assists. Senior goalie Kaleb Molina earned his fifth shutout of the season, and seniors Layne Coutu, Shawun Duhamel and Jayson Dube performed well in front of him.

Lowell 2, Westford 0: Jack Bussey made eight saves in a losing effort for Westford Academy as Lowell finished the regular season 18-0.

Nashoba 4, Trivium 0: Goaltender Audra DiCicco had her fourth consecutive shutout and the Vikings finished their regular season on a high note with a stunning save in a win at Westford.

Goals were scored by Sydney Rokita, Destanee Soba, Abby Steers and Delaney Auger. Assists were earned by Abby Steers, Destanee Soba and Ally Montgomery, who scored two points.

Nashoba Tech will host McCann Tech for the third time on Thursday (4:30 p.m.) in the Junior Vocational School semifinals.

Westford 2, Belmont 0: After a goalless first half, the Gray Ghosts scored both goals in the final 40 minutes to come away with the non-league victory. Sophomore defender Alexa Coward scored the game-winning goal off an assist from Tia McClelland. The insurance goal was made by Dava McClelland, assisted by Eleni Stowell.

Goaltenders Paige Markesich (three saves) and Olivia Cipriano (five saves) combined to retire from the game.

Chelmsford 1, Cambridge 0: The Lions closed out the regular season with a non-league win and improved to 11-3-4 overall. Kay Doherty scored the only goal of the match, her 10th of the season.

CAC leaders: Heading into Monday, the Notre Dame Academy super sophomore continued to lead the Small School scoring race with 41 goals and 46 points.

Nashoba Tech’s Delaney Auger (26-10-36) finished third. Also in the top 10 were Sydney Rokita of Nashoba (8-20-28) in seventh, Destanee Soba of Nashoba (20-5-25) in eighth and Carson Pedreschi of Notre Dame (8-8-16) in ninth. .

Among goalkeepers, Notre Dame’s duo of Kaylin Ruiz (0.80) and Kacie Bourbeau (1.04) had the best save percentages, while Nashoba’s Kali Christakos (1.25) was third.

In the Big School, Shawsheen Tech’s Maria Cafaro (15-7-22) placed second, Greater Lowell’s Emily Hem (9-5-14) placed fourth, while Shawsheen’s Judith Sloman (10-2-12) and Talia Lowney of Greater Lowell placed second. Lowell (11-1-12) was tied for seventh.

Among goalkeepers, Shawsheen’s Sydney MacPherson (1.40) ranked second in goals scored. Also featured are Greater Lowell’s Natalia Antonelli (4th, 1.92), Innovation Academy’s Ella Sciolla (5th, 2.54) and Lowell Catholic’s Autumn Gallant (3.44).

Fall matchups

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association will release state tournament matchups for several fall sports this week.

The field hockey and volleyball teams are completing their regular seasons. Boys and football teams can play games until Wednesday. The regular season in football will end on Saturday.

Robarge was honored by: For the fourth time this season, Bridgewater State University junior forward Olivia Robarge has been named MASCAC women’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

The Northern Middlesex Area graduate scored the game-winning goal in the 75th minute in the Bears’ 2-1 comeback victory over MASCAC Tournament champion Westfield State. The Pepperell native also found the back of the net in a 4-1 rout against nationally ranked Tufts University.

Robarge scored 11 goals and assists in 14 games, both career highs. He leads the MASCAC in game-winning goals with four, ranks second in goals, third in scoring and eighth in assists.

In 50 games over his first three seasons with the Bears, Robarge recorded 43 points with 19 goals and five assists. 7 of the 19 goals he scored won the match.
