In the statement made by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko and China’s Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Affairs Liu Xiaoming discussed the situation in the relevant region during the consultations held in Beijing and expressed their concern about the actions of the USA.

“The parties expressed their deep concern about the increasing regional tensions, attributing this to the dangerous increase in joint military activities of the United States and its allies and the establishment of military-political alliances that endanger the security of other Northeast Asian countries.” The following statements are included in the declaration published after the October 28 consultations:

Rudenko and Liu Xiaoming emphasized that the West should abandon the Cold War-era bloc conflict approach in order to maintain peace and prevent large-scale conflicts on the Korean Peninsula.

“Russia and China will maintain close coordination and intensive interaction, including with the UN, to build a just and indivisible security system in the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia,” the diplomatic ministry said.
