Fall has FINALLY arrived in Arizona! But for how long?

PHOENIX (AZ Family)— It looks like our high temperature on this “Fall-like” Tuesday will be 79 degrees and we will hit that at 1:09 AM!!

Some rain greeted the cold front that moved through the Valley overnight, but the most measurable rain was confined to the northeast corner of the Valley, amounting to a tenth of an inch near Fountain Hills.

There were many places in Yavapai County that received more than half an inch of rain.

Afternoon highs were running in the mid-70s, which was 10 degrees below average.

What little snow and rain there was for the High Country is mostly over.

According to the forecast as of this morning, most elevations above 4,000 feet can expect a hard freeze Tuesday night and temperatures could reach 28 degrees or lower.

Parts of the northwestern and southeastern corners of the state are protected. hard freeze warning.

The northeastern corner of the state is still protected wind advice.

Under clear skies, overnight lows in the Valley will cool into the upper 40s to mid 50s.

A slow warming trend will bring temperatures back into the 80s by Halloween.

A new storm could bring a chance of rain and cooler weather Sunday into Tuesday morning, but confidence in the storm’s timing and strength is still a bit low at this point.
