A serious traffic accident occurred on Weilhartlandesstraße L501 at around 07.30 on Tuesday. A 68-year-old female driver from the Braunau district was driving from Ostermiething towards Riedersbach. After the Ostermiething area, the driver overtook a truck and trailer in front of him on Freilandstraße and probably overlooked an oncoming car driven by a 68-year-old driver from the Braunau area.

The car was thrown onto the road
Two vehicles collided head-on. Due to the impact, the driver’s vehicle was thrown into the tractor trailer and thus into the adjacent meadow. The seriously injured driver was taken to Salzburg University Hospital after first aid by the Red Cross at the scene of the accident. The 68-year-old driver, who was seriously injured as a result of the accident, was taken to Salzburg University Hospital by emergency helicopter.
