WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Police say a crash that injured three people is linked to a reported kidnapping.

The crash happened around 4 a.m. Tuesday near Kellogg and Washington. Police said a person called 911 to report the kidnapping. The caller then tracked the allegedly hijacked car to Kellogg.

The driver tried to accelerate, but the vehicle rolled over. The driver of the allegedly hijacked car was taken to hospital and is expected to survive. Two passengers were slightly injured in the accident.

Police will interview the occupants of the vehicle in relation to the reported abduction. You may notice police were near the Washington exit on Kellogg as they cleared the scene Tuesday morning.
