WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A man has died from his injuries days after he was shot in Northwest D.C., police confirmed Monday.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to a shooting in the 800 block of Quincy Street NW on Friday just before 6 p.m.

A conscious and breathing man was taken to hospital.

On Monday, MPD said the man died from his injuries.

MPD said the suspect fled in a black SUV Friday evening.
