Denver Broncos Player’s Grades 28-14 Win Over Carolina Panthers

Denver Broncos They were expected to win this match and the final score was 28-14. While the Broncos appear to be a competent football team, Carlina Panthers It was the definition of incompetence.

On multiple occasions, the Panthers have failed to deliver on the basic components of being an NFL offense. As head coach Sean Paton said afterward, we hope the Broncos gain confidence from this game because their schedule is getting a lot tougher.

“This is not a good offense we’re playing.” Payton said. “This is real. We expected this. We will see much better teams.”

How did the Broncos make the grade? Let’s move on to individual player ratings.

This was Nix’s best game all season. His footwork looked improved, just as it did in college, and his pass placement was much more consistent. While there were some missed throws, most of them were the receivers’ fault rather than Nix’s.

McLaughlin played well and looked close to what he was capable of last year. But the Panthers had a poor run defense and were only able to limit and shut down Williams, who was saved by his contribution in the passing game.

This was a great play from Sutton until a late fumble near the goal line. He showed why he is still a talented offensive player who can make offensive moves.

While consistency needs improvement, Vele continues to show his playmaking potential. Humphrey, Mims, and Franklin all had critical errors.

Franklin can’t afford to miss deep shots like he did against the Panthers, especially being late to make the catch. None of the receivers other than Sutton did a good job when assigned as blockers.

Trautman had the best game of his career, making one big move after another. He did a good job as a blocker but excelled as a receiver.

Can you bet more consistently on games like this? No, and Week 8 shouldn’t stop the Broncos from adding to the tight end.

Adkins did well as a blocker and did what was asked as a receiver. As for Krull, it’s easy to get excited about the one or two shots he makes in a game, but his blocking makes it difficult to keep him on the field.

Both teams played strong. Bolles and McGlinchey allowed zero pressure on Nix and had success in the run game. The problems on the field stem from neither; Except for one, maybe two games.

There’s talk to be had about keeping Forsyth as the starter once Luke Wattenberg becomes eligible to come off injured reserve. Powers had a tougher time as Meinerz continued to be a force in the infield, but a few of the poor plays against him weren’t exactly his fault due to the play calling and what he was asked to do.

Franklin-Myers had an outstanding game and caused serious problems for the Panthers’ offensive line. Allen was a force to be reckoned with, as he has been all season.

Roach and Jones had some issues but were more than solid in the middle of the line.

Bonitto’s sack gave him six points in the last six games. He has improved incredibly in passing.

Even though Bonitto isn’t building pressure, he’s starting to flag. All of the Broncos’ pass rushers had a good game, and while they each had some bad plays, they were outnumbered.

Surtain and McMillian made great moves for interceptions. McMillian made an outstanding play, turning and punting the ball.

The Panthers targeted Moss and he was successful, giving up most of his yards and scoring his second touchdown of the season.

With PJ Locke out of the game, Key had to step in and played a solid game. There were some gaps in coverage and downhill triggering against the run, but it was more than serviceable when filling.

Jones continues to have a strong season for the Broncos.
