Indian media spreads propaganda about interim government: House counsel

Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (retired) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury accused the Indian media of “regularly spreading false propaganda” about the interim government.

Speaking to reporters at Barishal Police Lines today (November 14), the advisor said, “They (India) are publishing fake news about us (interim government) every day. I request your (Bangladeshi journalists) cooperation to prevent the spread of Indian media.” False reports.”

“If you (journalists) come across any mistakes or corruption in our government, feel free to highlight them. However, refrain from publishing fake reports,” he said, as he mentioned that the government would definitely protest any false propaganda. he said.

Jahangir Alam also said that everyone knows that many Indian journalists spread fake news. As a result, when India publishes a real report, people start questioning its credibility.

“The strongest opposition to this may come from you (Bangladeshi journalists) as you have more influence than us,” he added.

Regarding the Sagar-Runi murder case, the house counsel said, “A solution will definitely be found this time. A period of 6 months has been allotted for this. A new team has been formed under the guidance of the IGP. We will get positive news soon.”

In an earlier meeting with law enforcement, the consultant stated that there was a crisis of trust within the police force and that it would take time to fully resolve. “However, some progress has been made and further progress is expected.”

He further said, “If there is silent extortion in any area, the concerned SP, head constable or DIG should be informed. If no action is taken, inform me or the IGP. If they do not take action, we will take action.” Against SP, police commissioner and DIG.”
