A New York man is accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting another adult multiple times, authorities said.

Miguel A. Chimbo-Orellana, 37, of Queens, was arrested last Monday following an investigation into the reported acts, the Bergen County District Attorney’s Office said in a press release.

He is charged with kidnapping, sexual assault, witness tampering, criminal restraint, terroristic threats and contempt of court.

Authorities said the person reported being kidnapped and sexually assaulted multiple times in both the city of Englewood and Queens. The victim also claimed Chimbo-Orellana threatened to kill her, prosecutors said.

Chimbo-Orellana was in Englewood when detectives caught him last Monday.

He is currently being held in custody at the Bergen County Jail pending his first court appearance.
