A 65-year-old man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of his third DUI, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Following an investigation, Jeffrey Alan Seipel was taken into custody in the area of ​​North Stewart and East John Street at 18:37. According to the booking report, a Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a wrong-way driver at the intersection of East John and North Stewart.

A second deputy arrived to assist in the investigation of a possible drunk driver. The officer spoke with Seipel and observed signs of alcohol intoxication, including slurred speech, red watery eyes, and the odor of an alcoholic beverage. While speaking, the man said he had two drinks around 2 p.m., the report states.

The man had a number of medical conditions. Due to his medical condition, the only field sobriety test performed was a horizontal gaze nystagmus test. The arrest report states a preliminary breath test was conducted in which the man detonated a .210 caliber bomb. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence for the third time. Bail: $20,000.

— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of second-misdemeanor DUI and failure to comply with a traffic control device.

According to the booking report, at approximately 2:44 a.m., a deputy was on routine patrol and observed a truck traveling south on Airport Road at a high rate of speed. The officer got behind the truck and watched as it failed to come to a complete stop as it turned east on Gordonia from Airport Road.

The report states that the deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which continued east on Gordonia and then turned south on Siskiyou and stopped in a driveway in the 1100 block of Siskiyou Drive.

The deputy contacted the driver and the sole occupant of the vehicle, who attempted to exit the truck. The deputy could smell alcohol when the driver spoke, the report states. The man had red, watery eyes and slightly slurred speech. The deputy asked the man why it took him so long to stop. The man could not answer the question. The officer asked if he saw flashing lights behind him. The man allegedly stated that he was trying to go home.

Police asked the man to get out of his vehicle. The officer could still smell alcohol. The deputy explained that they were concerned that he was too impaired to drive and asked the man if he would submit to standard field sobriety tests.

The man agreed and showed signs of deterioration. He was asked whether he would be subjected to preliminary breath tests. The man refused. Based on the man’s observed driving pattern and his performance on standard field sobriety tests, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He provided evidentiary breath tests in prison with results of 0.157 and 0.152. Bail: $2,500.

— A 59-year-old man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of domestic battery and strangulation, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Antonio Leon was taken into custody at 5:28 p.m. According to the report, Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a Columbia Way address after a woman reported running outside yelling that someone was abusing her.

A deputy located the woman and observed that she had obvious injuries to her arms, lips, mouth, and face. The report states that the woman initially did not mention the events that led to the injury and stated that she had fallen. The deputy was able to get him to describe his injuries and learned from his statements that he said he and the man had fought and that the man had punched him in the mouth and the side of his face. The report also stated that the man put both arms around his neck and advised him to pull himself away. After that, he said, he was able to escape to his car.

The woman was taken to the hospital by the Carson City Fire Department. Meanwhile, deputies located the man named Antonio Leon, who had scratches and blood on his head. The deputy asked the man how the injuries occurred. He stated that the woman scratched him. The deputy asked the man to explain what was happening. The man was unable to tell the officer a story, the report states. He kept saying it was nothing. The deputy asked him about the woman’s injuries. He stated that he left the house without any injuries. He was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery by strangulation. Bail: $10,000.

— A 38-year-old man was arrested early Monday morning on a misdemeanor warrant alleging domestic battery. He was also fined for speeding. Bail: $3,000 cash.

— Lester Reynolds, 41, of Sun Valley, was arrested early Monday on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $2,500.

— A 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence. During the investigation, the officer spoke with the driver, who stated that he was returning home from the casino. He was asked whether he had consumed alcoholic beverages. The man said yes and said he had two beers.

The man spoke and the deputy observed that his speech was slow and slurred and his eyes were red and watery. The deputy asked the man to sit on the curb and noticed that the man lost his balance while trying to stand up. He showed signs of impairment during standardized field sobriety tests. He took a preliminary breath test with a result of .262 and was arrested. Bail: $1,137.

— A 41-year-old woman, Katy Janell Ross, was arrested at 1:49 a.m. Saturday in the North Carson and Adaline area on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of parole and probation. Bail: $2,500.

— A 52-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 11:05 p.m. Friday on a misdemeanor charge issued by East Fork Justice Court, his license was suspended and his registration was suspended. Bail: $1,818 cash.

— A 35-year-old Fernley man was arrested at 3:49 p.m. Saturday on an out-of-agency warrant issued by Sparks Municipal Court. Bail: $775.

— A 69-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 10:30 a.m. Friday on a misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence order. Bail: $1,000 cash.

— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 12:52 a.m. Saturday in the 3900 block of Highway 50 East on suspicion of false registration, driving on a suspended license and violation of bail conditions. Bail: $3,000.
