Suspects arrested and woman sought after Colorado man dies from fentanyl overdose

ARPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – On November 21, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said a man and woman were arrested for fentanyl overdoses in Arapahoe County.

On May 7, 2023, deputies responded to the 21000 block of E Otero Parkway for an unresponsive male. When deputies and fire crews arrived, Nicholas Dorotik, 47, was still unresponsive and his wife had already given him a dose of Narcan.

Fire attempted CPR on Dorotik, but deputies said he ultimately died at the scene.

An investigation revealed that Dorotik died of a drug overdose, including meth and fentanyl. Deputies said he had three times the lethal amount of fentanyl in his system at the time.

“Dorotik was reported to be in excellent health prior to this incident,” the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said.

On July 23, arrest warrants were issued for 32-year-old Max Arsenault and 26-year-old Julia Weishaar.

As of Nov. 21, the sheriff’s office said Weishaar was at large and wanted after failing to show up for a hearing on Nov. 7.

Arsenault was released on bail and his next hearing is scheduled for December 5.

If you know where Weishaar may be, contact the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office at 720-874-8477.
