Lion’s Peachy Keen cocktail wins first place in Columbus Monthly contest


Frozen whey, candied spicy mango, toasted marshmallows and more. 18 bars and restaurants created unique cocktails for Columbus Monthly. Here are the top five as chosen by those who attended the event.

The result is a uniquely creamy treat followed by a boozy, peachy punch that melts in drinkers’ mouths. More than 300 attendees were on site to taste the cocktails and vote for the winner.

The cocktails in the top five are as follows:

  • Fifth place: I Like It Weird, a fruity milk cocktail from House of Spirits.
  • Fourth place: Holy City Harmony, which combines peach and apple whiskeys with honey oolong syrup from Hank’s Low Country Seafood and Raw Bar.
  • Third row: Pani Puri using Rooh’s chaat masala-infused vodka.
  • Second Place: Surfin\’ Movie in This Ain\’, a spicy, mango-flavored vodka cocktail made by The Whitney House Table & Tavern.

The event was sponsored by Noble Cut Distillery. Queen Bee Jackie supported and shared on social media entertainment throughout the evening.
